CLOSED!!. Arrived at 4am with my husband, 2 young children and my 65 year old Mum. Transfer bus drove away and we found the hotel had been closed for months! Tour operator say they didn't know! Had to find another hotel for the night and pay even though we had paid All inclusive until we were relocated the next afternoon! . .

An honest review from a normal family. I have never written a review in the past but having been looking to book our family holiday this year I glanced at Fun Point to see what other travellers were saying about it. We travelled last year as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 11 and 7. All I can say is think twice before you book this hotel. I was hooked in by the price (cheap) and the 'good' reviews. Where to start...........the positives: **Great weather ** Friendly staff ** Good bargains in reception (fake Ray Bans in reception at a couple of quid, Luis Vuitton towels for a fiver etc) ** Air con Negatives: ** Over friendly staff-you simply cannot sit down and have a quiet drink without being permanently harassed, it's absolutely awful day in day out making odd comments which they find hilarious and we found totally insulting ** Food is absolutely horrendous. Breakfast is a few rolls with a panini maker making a once weekly appearance. Lunch is last night's left overs fried or re-formed or chopped up in another dish and the evening meals were almost inedible. They do some kind of meat (possibly beef) in either meat balls, re-formed patties, slices and some really cheap cuts of chicken which has been cooked for so long it is vile. Always rice and cous cous so we lived on that and went out several evenings. It is noteworthy that the electric bain maries were dangerous giving off electric shocks to unsuspecting diners who touched them throughout our 2 week stay **Rooms basic and air con ONLY WORKS IN ONE OF THE ROOMS! No storage space for a family of 5 just one tiny wardrobe which was falling to bits **Pool-absolutely filthy, we did not see it cleaned even once and I got an infection from the water. It was absolutely disgusting **Prayer is observed regularly throughout the day with large tannoys blasting out across the building and if that's not going on then there is Euro trash dance/techno music absolutely blasting from the bar, absolutely hideous day in day out. The Turkish bar lads were playing it for themselves with no regard for the guests ** All inclusive? What a joke! Already mentioned the breakfast lunch and dinner but we expected snacks to be available in the day. We got really odd filo pastry some days with a layer of tasteless cheese spread through it and bizarre crumbling tasteless biscuits, absolutely foul. All ice creams have to be paid for at the shop at reception ** Kids working on the bar. It seemed if any one of the regular staff were off a child was put behind the bar to serve alcohol, very bizarre but they work their staff 7 days a week with no breaks so i am not surprised they got let down ** Damaged and broken sunbeds-all old and cheap and falling to bits ** Dirty sheesha pipes being sparked up and shared on an evening-the hygene standards were an absolute disgrace ** Mucky old disused bar at the back of the swimming pool full of broken toys and inflatables and any other rubbish that was chucked there ** Entertainment was poor at best being on one or two nights per week. I've seen bad entertainment but this took the biscuit. One evening of Karaoke and one 'Turkish' night. It was laughable. Our kids hated it. Overall the mix of guests was fairly diverse, some English, many Russians and many Turkish use this hotel, all of them very pleasant and easy to get on with. I would not recommend this hotel for families and can only assume the good reviews are fake or by people with really really low standards. I mean we like a bargain and I think we paid about £1200 for the hotel for the fortnight which was really cheap and particularly when we saw the decent reviews but I urge you to think again if you plan to visit this hotel. It's the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life and we all couldn't wait to leave.. .

Fun by name fun by nature. Me and my partner have just had a week at fun point. Lovely hotel, and really friendly staff. Basic rooms but only sleep and shower there. Food was nice but we like to go explore so ate out quite abit. Bbq came out one night which was delicious. Lovely salad selection. Murat the owner is such a great guy. Also owns facebook bar and restaurant about 10-15min walk from hotel, excellent food and strawberry daquires. Great entertainment in hotel and at Facebook. Murat and the staff work very hard and go out of their way to please their guests. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Natalie & Paul. .

Weeks break . Just arrived home from our holiday at the fun point hotel . I traveled with my husband and have had a really good break on arrival we was met by the manager who promptly booked us in and even got us a couple of beers while we was being attended to our luggage was taken to our room which was on the seventh floor but had a good lift to it the room was large and clean nothing was to much trouble for anybody and the manager was on hand the whole holiday checking that everything was OK and if anything was needed food was OK usual all inclusive food plenty of salads rice and pasta and fresh fruit something for everyone I never heard anybody complaining we ate out a couple of times just to break the holiday up not because of the food they even had BBQ I had read the reviews before going to this hotel but would definitely go back everybody was so friendly and always made sure you was enjoying yourselves the little lady in the shop couldn't speak much English but would always have a big smile on her face and the prices in the shop was no different to the shops outside overall this has been a enjoyable holiday thanks to the manager and all his staff .. .

Not bad for price, but not great. Had 10 nights here all inclusive ,on arrival had good welcome and was upgraded to better room free, hotel is clean but a bit outdated , food wasn't great same stuff nearly every night and leftovers used for next night, free drinks in all inclusive deal were not nice and only weak beer, horrible vodka, disgusting gin and cheap raki that taste like antifreeze,so limited choice, after 12 at night all drinks had to be paid for weather all inclusive or not Long way from town centre and beech , a good 20 minute walk Overall not a bad stay but probably could have found better for the price elsewhere in alanya . .
